this is the infrequently updated page for michael kurman - aka kurm - aka kurmjustkurm: photographer, solar warrior, hockey nerd, helper, problem solver, common sense advocate, whole food plant-based fitness fan. also defender of spinach, champion of the plight of indigenous cartilage, noble taste tester, busy dancer, shepherd, migrating day laborer and archduke of the eastern seaboard.

if i were to write about myself in third person, it would go something like:
kurm is a beautifully efficient vacuumer with the poise and determination of a buddhist leper - a man whose skills as a stamp fluid collector are only modestly trumped by his tangential rapport with the butternut squash

i do a great many things and this website should show you some of that... have fun!

on the ability to travel...

its a privilege to travel. travel changes you. for many people this is not an option. for much of my youth and young adulthood i was not this fortunate. the entitlement is never lost on me and i cherish the opportunities.

i wear a lot of hats. i run in a lot of circles. i do a great many things i love - photography is one of them. i dont like capital letters.

i live in the greater philadelphia area and travel extensively in pursuit of creative photographs for a variety of clients.
